1940’s parts, modern re-conditioning
Made from cast-aluminium, these ashtrays began life as piston-heads in Rolls-Royce Merlin airplane engines.
The piston-heads are sliced in two, before being sand-blasted to remove any pitting and imperfections that may have developed (either due to age or the immense heat these parts endured).
After sand-blasting; the parts are either polished to a brilliant-finish, or left in their raw state; both options are available.
