Silver plate drinks tray / charger made in England by Hukin & Heath, c.1880s
Hukin & heath was established in 1855 in birmingham and are best known for their work with Christopher Dresser in the 1870s and 1880s. Indeed, this elegant, unadorned tray is reminicent of Dresser's pared-down, modern style.
The design lends itseld to many uses: a great size for an evening cocktail, it also makes a fine vide-poche or charger plate... a testament to a 100+ year-old design.
